During group time at August Martin, students had the opportunity to engage in an activity led by school counselors, Cristian Muentes and Luz Cintron. Following the seven mindsets curriculum, students were engaged in icebreakers and warm-up activities in order to create a positive and inclusive environment, promote social interaction, and enhance self-awareness. Ms. Cris and Ms. Luz combined both groups of scholars and achievers in order to build community. One student said, “I can’t believe I share some similarities with my classmates. We are not that different from each other.”
