Students from Prospect Heights took their Civics and Service lessons beyond the classroom with a special visit to the Intrepid Museum for a panel honoring veterans and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Guided by social studies teacher Jeffrey Long, the students have been diving into the Civics For All curriculum — and this trip brought those lessons to life. During the event, students took part in a Q&A with veterans, gaining firsthand insight into the meaning of service and sacrifice. They then explored the legendary aircraft carrier on a guided museum tour, connecting history with real-world stories.
