Students from Prospect Heights had the opportunity to participate in a creative writing workshop with a visit from the non-profit organization, Urban Word. Urban Word combines literary elements with civic engagement encouraging young people to find their voice. Students were all encouraged to see themselves as change-makers during the workshop. “I never thought writing could be fun until this workshop!” said one student.
