Dear ReStart Academy Staff,
This has been another incredibly successful year at ReStart Academy! We’ve celebrated the significant academic and social-emotional progress of our middle school, high school, and high school equivalency students. Beyond the core curriculum and counseling, the year was
filled with a diverse array of enriching experiences for our students. They participated in activities such as spelling bees, science fairs, art programs, cultural trips, museum visits, field days, Broadway shows, and college tours.
We continued our successful incentive programs across all sites, recognizing student engagement, effort, and achievement. We also actively participated in District 79 events and celebrations, further integrating our students into broader community initiatives. These programs have significantly contributed to our students’ sense of belonging and overall success.
The first year of our school based virtual learning (SBVL) program was a tremendous success. We were able to help ReStart students who might have become disengaged stay connected to school and remain on track with their academic goals. We’re proud to celebrate 10 SBVL students who attained their high school equivalency diploma, and we’re equally proud that the remaining students made great academic progress across all subjects.
Thank you and congratulations to all of you on such an impactful year! I look forward to working with you in the 2025–2026 school year.
The ReStart Academy administration extends well wishes for a wonderful summer.
Sincerely,
Joan M. Indart-Etienne
