Thanks to our Project Pivot partner Inspiring Minds, students from Lower East Side Prep had the unique opportunity to attend a special event with the Brooklyn Nets at Gleason’s Boxing Gym. The event centered on mental health and wellness, featuring guest speaker Eric Kussin, a former NBA executive, who shared his inspiring journey of overcoming mental health challenges through holistic practices like exercise and nutrition. Students also had a blast stepping into a real boxing ring and putting into practice the skills they’ve been building this spring.
