Several students at Lower East Side Prep recently completed their internship hours for the training opportunities program (TOP) administered by the Manhattan Transition & College Access Center. This paid work-based learning experience allows students to develop post secondary vocational skills aligned to their goals and receive a stipend upon completion. One intern stated, “being a part of TOP is the extra motivation I needed to get to school everyday because people depended on me to do my job.” Congratulations to the students on this very special accomplishment!
